Dress Code for ALL Classes at Evolve 26

Our Dress Code is strongly enforced at Evolve 26 because it enforces discipline, focus, a stronger work ethic, and helps teachers to clearly see and adjust body placement, position, and alignment. Please read this page carefully!!!

NO APPLE WATCHES ALLOWED WHILE DANCING! Dancers must put phones in the phone lockers upon entering the studio.

  • EVERY DANCER MUST ALSO HAVE A DANCE BAG TO CARRY:

    • Extra pair of tights (ballet / black ones for uniform

    • Hip Hop pants (if taking a hip hop class)

    • All dance shoes required for class

    • Extra hair pony tails, bobby pins, and brush

    • Any extra hygiene products dancer may need (ages 7 and up)

  • Dance shoes and all belongings should be LABELED with NAME. (Last name too, or at least Last Initial)

  • Students must be ready and properly dressed before entering the studio room.

  • Students not properly dressed, will be asked to get into dress code before participating.

  • No jewelry… Small earrings are okay.

 

Ages 2-4

Ballet / Tap / Acro

  • Must have: Pink Ballet shoes and (preferably easy strap) Black Tap Shoes

  • Pink or Tan / skin color tights with a Black Leotard

    • optional to wear: dance skirt, tutu, or dance shorts

  • Hair must be in slick BUN!

 

Ages 5-7

Jazz / Lyrical / Ballet /Hip Hop / Tap

  • Jazz / Lyrical / Leaps & Turns Technique Classes Suggested Shoes

    • Jazz shoes (Tan Bloch- Small Child “Super Jazz” Jazz Slip-On Jazz Shoe)

  • Tap:

    • Black Tap Shoes with the Easy Strap Black Patent for Tap Class

  • Ballet :

    • Tights (Pink) are required for Ballet Class and Leotard must be worn over the tights with Pink Ballet shoes (preferably split sole ballet shoes)

  • Hip Hop:

    • Tennis shoes required (not too bulky of tennis shoes)

      Hair in slick middle part bun for all classes!

Ages: (8-11) + (12 and up)

  • Ballet/Pointe:

    • Pink Ballet / Pointe split sole shoes *POINTE SHOES ARE OPTIONAL, NOT REQUIRED*

      • (Suggest getting fitted for pointe shoes at Top Toe Dance Wear or another local dance store)

    • Pink Ballet Convertible Tights / Black Leotard

      • Optional: Ballet skirt

  • Hip Hop:

    • Tennis shoes: not too slick or too bulky

  • Tap:

    • Any (Black Lace-up) Tap Shoes

  • Jazz, Lyrical, and Contemporary:

    • Tan Jazz shoes (Bloch: “Super Jazz” Jazz Slip-On Shoe) or half-sole dance shoes / dance socks (optional) but dancer is required to have jazz shoe or half sole shoe as well)

  • Leaps and Turns / Technique

    • Tan Jazz shoes (Bloch: “Super Jazz” Jazz Slip-On Shoe) or half-sole dance shoes

  • Industry Classes:

    • Bring ALL Dance Shoes because the style will always be different every class!

      (Jazz shoes or Half-sole shoes, Tennis Shoes, Ballet Shoes, Tap Shoes, etc.)

      Hair in slick, middle part ballet bun for all classes!
